Our client, who are market leaders, are looking to expand their installations team, installing, removing and relocating ATMs and self-service machines. If you have experience within the construction industry or have experience using tools or helped with installation for any industry, this is a great opportunity to build a career and join a successful organisation.

The role is field-based, therefore a van will be provided (which can be used for personal use) and locations will be in bank branches and at remote customer sites as well as other building/construction projects. The role is physical and requires you to lift or move approximately 30kg. Tools, mobile phone, laptop, full training and great support will also be provided. You will be part of a team though may work on your own on certain projects and you will work within an assigned geographical area. There will be overnight stays, approximately 1 to 2 nights per week, especially if you have been asked to work in other parts of the UK. There will also at times be the opportunity to work weekends and evenings if an installation is required outside normal working hours. At least 2 weeks' notice is given where possible for overnight stays and working late and out of area.

Main Responsibilities include:

  • Work on the installation, removal, and relocation of ATMs and self-service machines in branches and at remote sites.
  • Work closely with the team leader, follow the project plan and resolve issues that may arise.
  • Assist with construction-oriented tasks such as tiling, carpentry, dry wall etc if necessary and within your capability.
  • Develop a sound understanding of ATM and self-service machine movements, good working practice for moving heavy equipment using mechanical aids as part of a team.
  • Interact with customers in a professional manner during what can be difficult high-pressure situations.
  • Managing own time and resources to maximise productivity.
  • To work a wide range of hours based on Client requirements, out of hours and weekend work when necessary.

Person Specification:

  • General building and construction experience.
  • Preferred basic knowledge/experience within brickwork, blockwork, carpentry, stud work or tiling (floors and walls) or a combination of all.
  • CSCS Card would be advantageous.
  • Highly professional and a ‘can do’ reliable attitude as well as being flexible.
  • A flexible ‘make it happen’ approach to work and a willingness to learn new skills.
  • Good communication, both written and verbal with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a wider team across the business.
  • Full UK valid Driving Licence is essential.
