Installations Technician in Slough

Our client, who are market leaders are looking to expand their installations team, installing, removing and relocating ATMs and self-service machines. Ideally you will have some experience within the ATM or self service field. If you have experience within the construction industry or have experience using tools or helped with installation for any industry this is a great opportunity to build a career and join a successful organisation. This role is working a 40 hour week. Generous overtime is paid for hours over 40, and also weekends are paid at a premium. There is always overtime available, and if you take advantage of this, there is the potential to earn approximately an additional £10k per annum. The role is field based, therefore a van will be provided and locations will be within bank branches and at remote customer sites as well as other building construction projects. The role is physical and requires you to lift or move approximately 30kg. Tools, mobile phone, a laptop, full training and great support will also be provided. You will be part of a team though may work on your own on certain projects and you will work within an assigned geographical area. There will be overnight stays, fully expensed therefore you must be able to stay away. A minimum of two weeks notice will be given where possible though at times you may be asked to stay away at shorter notice to help out in other regions. There will also at times be the opportunity to work weekends and evenings if an installation is required outside of normal working hours. Main Responsibilities include: * Work on the installation, removal, and relocation of ATMs and self-service machines in branches and at remote sites. * Work closely with the team leader, follow the project plan and resolve issues that may arise. * Assist with construction orientated tasks such as tiling, carpentry, dry wall lining, or any tasks that are within your capabilities. * Develop a sound understanding of ATM and self-service machine movements, good working practice for moving heavy equipment using mechanical aids as part of a team. * Interact with customers in a professional manner during what can be difficult high-pressure situations. * Managing own time and resources to maximise productivity. * To work a wide range of hours based on Client requirements, out of hours and at the weekends when necessary. Person Specification * Ideally some experience installing or working with ATM's or self service machines * General building and construction experience either commercial or residential. * Preferred basic knowledge/experience within brickwork, blockwork, carpentry, stud work or tiling (floors and walls) or a combination of all. * CSCS Card would be advantageous. * Highly professional and a ‘can do’ reliable attitude as well as being flexible, along with a willingness to work approach. * Good communication, both written and verbal with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a wider team across the business. * Full UK valid Driving Licence is essential Benefits include the following: * Regular overtime available paid at an enhanced rate * 9% pension scheme (combined contributions) * Gym membership discounts * 2 x salary Life Assurance * £250 Refer a Friend scheme * Optional Healthcare plan including retail discounts, dental and optical * Employee Assistance Programme and much more!
