CAD Technical Designer - Construction in Sheffield

They are not large, national projects, they are very much one off, though you will be juggling many projects at any one time.\\n\\nAccuracy in every aspect of the role is paramount however ensuring Health and Safety of all projects is the main priority. Strong knowledge of CDM 2015 is an absolute must for this role.\\n\\nIf you thrive in a fast-paced environment, enjoy seeing your designs come to life on-site, and want to be part of a forward-thinking team that values innovation and quality, this role would be we’d love to hear from you.\\n\\nMain Responsibilities\\n\\n * Produce AutoCAD drawings including plans, elevations, and cross sections for all installations.\\n\\n * Produce glass drawings, including sectional cut-size drawings for glaziers.\\n\\n * Prepare scope of works (method statements) for installations and relocations should there be any, based on survey information.\\n\\n * Produce bills of materials and cutting sheets for proposed works.\\n\\n * Manage survey data to ensure client-specific information is accurately captured and considered.\\n\\n * Provide technical liaison to the installation teams and support where required\\n\\n * Liaise with internal teams to plan and generate and signage that may be required.\\n\\n * Work closely with the surveyors to ensure accurate and complete capture of site data.\\n\\n * Provide technical and construction advice across all of your projects.\\n\\n * Attend client meetings to review progress of installations and provide technical input.\\n\\nPersonal profile\\n\\nEssential\\n\\n * Must be Proficient in AutoCAD for producing technical drawings (2D essential).\\n\\n * Be competent in creating technical drawings for glazing and similar components.\\n\\n * Have the ability to interpret survey information and translate into accurate drawings and documents.\\n\\n * Experienced in producing scopes of work, method statements, and bills of materials.\\n\\n * Have knowledge of construction methods, materials, and technical documentation.\\n\\n * Good knowledge of CDM 2015 Regulations\\n\\n * Possess strong problem-solving skills and have the ability to support site teams remotely.\\n\\n * Ability to effectively communicate at all levels – clients, surveyors, and internal teams.\\n\\n * Have excellent multitasking capabilities and able to manage multiple concurrent projects.\\n\\n * Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).\\n\\nDesirable\\n\\n * Experience in any installation projects, banking sector fit-outs, or related construction environments.\\n\\n * Familiarity with security products and bespoke specific installation requirements.\\n\\n * Knowledge of health and safety standards relevant to installation works.\\n\\n * Experience working with bespoke signage and glazing requirements.\\n\\n * Ability to design or adapt custom components/products.\\n\\n * Experience attending client meetings to discuss technical site challenges.\\n\\nThis is a fantastic opportunity, you can work from home but must be able to commute to one of the many offices in the UK at least once per week or as and when required
