Job Description

Our client, who are market leaders in their industry are looking for a friendly, organised, and proactive individual to join their team as a Transport & Warehouse Supervisor.

They are looking for a candidate who thrives in a fast-paced environment and who can keep operations running smoothly.

A strong understanding of Logistics and Freight Forwarding is required.

Due to the nature of the business, strong administration skills and great organisation skills are paramount for this role.

You will also be the main point of contact for customers and the wider team; therefore, you need to be at ease communicating on all levels.

Key Responsibilities include

  • Routing and resource planning: Assign drivers and vans and design cost-effective daily routes
  • Paperwork & Admin: Preparation of all delivery documents in Excel
  • Tracking and ETA Accuracy: Monitor drivers routes and update customers with accurate ETA's via tracking systems such as Fed Ex, DHL and UPS
  • File & Record Management: Keep all documents organised & accessible
  • Communication: You will be the direct line of contact for customers, drivers and the wider team
  • Invoicing: Generate invoices using the internal system

Skills & Knowledge

  • Have a strong understanding of Logistics and Freight Forwarding
  • Highly organised and detail orientated in all areas
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, Excel and Word
  • Thrive in high pressure environments
  • Flexible attitude, assist with loading, unloading of vehicles when required

Desirable but not essential skills

  • ADR Training

  • Understanding vehicle sizes & payloads
