Painters Required Location: Newmarket Job Overview We are seeking a skilled Painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both residential and commercial painting, with the ability to work on various construction projects. This role requires attention to detail, knowledge of color theory, and proficiency in using hand and power tools. The Painter will be responsible for preparing surfaces, applying paint, and ensuring high-quality finishes on all projects. Responsibilities * Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and filling holes or imperfections. * Apply paint, varnish, or other finishes using brushes, rollers, or airless paint spraying equipment. * Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine project requirements. * Estimate materials needed for each job and maintain an organized workspace. * Collaborate with other construction professionals on-site to ensure project timelines are met. * Perform maintenance tasks such as caulking, plastering, and trim carpentry as needed. * Conduct restoration work on existing structures while adhering to safety guidelines. * Ensure all tools and equipment are properly maintained and stored after use. Requirements * Proven experience in residential and commercial painting. * Strong knowledge of color theory and construction estimating. * Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and airless paint spraying techniques. * Ability to read blueprints and schematics effectively. * Experience in plastering, stucco application, masonry, and concrete finishing is a plus. * Basic math skills for measuring areas and calculating material needs. * Previous construction site experience is preferred. * Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality work. * Ability to work independently or as part of a team in various environments.
