Job Overview: We are looking for an experienced DB2 System Programmer / DB2 for z/OS Specialist to join the DB2 Support Team supporting large-scale DB2 subsystems across multiple mainframe environments and geographies. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the performance, integrity, security, maintenance, and availability of the DB2 database environment while providing L2/L3 production support for mission-critical applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and support DB2 for z/OS environments across enterprise mainframe systems.
  • Monitor database performance, tuning, integrity, availability, and security.
  • Install, configure, test, and maintain supported DB2 versions and monitoring tools.
  • Provide Level 2 and Level 3 support for DB2-based applications and environments.
  • Support highly responsive OLTP (CICS) DB2 environments.
  • Develop, manage, and test backup, recovery, disaster recovery, and archiving procedures.
  • Perform capacity planning and ensure optimal database performance.
  • Manage distributed DB2 connections and troubleshoot database-related issues.
  • Work closely with application, technical, and operations teams to ensure database stability and security.
  • Ensure compliance with data security and information governance standards including GDPR.
