About the Role

We are seeking experienced Senior Enterprise Architects to support a major transformation programme within the Banking and Financial Services sector. This is an opportunity to work within a CTO-led architecture function, driving enterprise-wide technology strategy, architecture roadmaps, and emerging technology adoption.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and deliver target-state (North Star) architecture strategies and roadmaps.
  • Provide architectural leadership across enterprise, business, data, application, and technology domains.
  • Support architecture governance, standards, principles, and best practices.
  • Drive modern architecture approaches including Architecture as Code and composable architecture.
  • Collaborate with programme leaders, engineering teams, and business stakeholders to shape technology solutions.
  • Develop transition architectures and support implementation across large-scale transformation initiatives.
  • Evaluate and advise on emerging technologies including AI, Machine Learning, Cloud Services, and Blockchain.
  • Define tooling strategies, architecture patterns, and data delivery approaches.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Extensive Enterprise Architecture experience within large-scale organisations.
  • Strong understanding of architecture frameworks, governance, and operating models.
  • Experience developing enterprise technology roadmaps and future-state architectures.
  • Knowledge of Architecture as Code, automation, and modern cloud-native architecture practices.
  • Experience with composable architecture, APIs, microservices, and domain-driven design.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Banking or Financial Services experience is highly desirable.
  • Payments, Cards, Loans, Pensions, or Capital Markets.
  • Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Agentic AI.
  • Data Loss Prevention (DLP) and Security Architecture.
  • Blockchain and emerging technology strategy.

Working Model

Hybrid working arrangement. Multiple positions available across Edinburgh, Manchester, Bristol, and Leeds.
