Job Title: SCCM Task Sequence Field Engineer | Location: Plymouth, UK (with travel across the UK) | Job Type: Contract | Experience: 3–5 years
We are seeking an experienced SCCM (System Center Configuration Manager) / MECM Field Engineer with strong expertise in OSD and Task Sequences. The role involves managing, deploying, and troubleshooting Windows OS deployments across client environments. This is a field-based position that requires travel within the UK and flexibility in working hours.
Responsibilities
- Implement and troubleshoot in-place upgrade task sequences (e.g., Windows 10 → Windows 11).
- Collaborate with local/Microland IT teams to resolve task sequence failures on endpoints.
- Perform BIOS/UEFI configuration and ensure pre/post-installation checks.
- Conduct SCCM client health checks and remediation.
- Maintain and update issue logs.
- Coordinate with the Microland SCCM team for change control, testing, and deployment approvals.
- Monitor deployment progress via SCCM logs on endpoints.
Skills & Qualifications
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft SCCM / MECM (OSD, Task Sequences).
- Proven ability to work independently at customer/field sites.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Working Conditions
- Travel across the UK based on deployment schedules (confirmation required from candidates via email).
