We are seeking an experienced SharePoint Migration Engineer to lead the migration of enterprise document and records management systems from legacy platforms to Microsoft 365, with SharePoint Online as the core collaboration and document management solution. The role will ensure secure, compliant, and scalable migration aligned with organisational governance, records management, and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead end to end migration from legacy document management systems to SharePoint Online
- Design and implement SharePoint information architecture, including:
- Document libraries, metadata, and content types
- Permissions and access governance
Required Skills & Experience:
- Strong hands on experience with SharePoint Online, OneDrive, and Microsoft Teams
- Proven experience delivering SharePoint / M365 migrations at enterprise scale
- Hands on with migration tools such as ShareGate and/or SPMT
- Experience with Microsoft Purview:
- Retention labels and policies
- Records management
- eDiscovery / content search
Desirable Skills:
- Azure fundamentals supporting compliance or information management solutions
- Information or Records Management background
- Microsoft certifications (M365 / SharePoint / Security & Compliance)
