Fire Door Contracts Manager West Midlands Location: West Midlands Salary: £50,000 – £60,000 + Package (DOE) Employment: Permanent, Full-Time Sector: Passive Fire Protection – Fire Doors PYRA Construction Solutions are currently recruiting for an experienced Fire Door Contracts Manager on behalf of an established and growing Passive Fire Protection contractor based in the West Midlands. Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of secured work, our client is looking to appoint an experienced Contracts Manager to take responsibility for the successful delivery of multiple fire door installation and remedial contracts. This is a key appointment within the business and an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong background in passive fire to join an established management team and take ownership of a portfolio of live projects. The successful candidate will ideally be based within Birmingham or the wider West Midlands and able to commute to the company's office on a daily basis, alongside travelling to live projects as required. The Role As Fire Door Contracts Manager, you will typically take responsibility for managing contracts from mobilisation through to completion and handover. Projects include both fire door installation and remedial programmes across: * Social Housing * Student Accommodation * NHS & Healthcare * Commercial Buildings * Public Sector Environments * Fire Door Remedial Programmes * Full Fire Door Replacement Programmes You will act as the key point of contact between clients, site management, operatives and senior management, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, profitably and in accordance with the required fire safety and compliance standards. Key Responsibilities Your responsibilities will include: * Overseeing fire door installation and remedial programmes * Managing projects from mobilisation through to completion and handover * Planning labour, materials and resources across multiple contracts * Managing and supporting Site Managers and Supervisors * Monitoring project programmes, productivity and performance * Ensuring deadlines and contractual requirements are achieved * Maintaining regular communication with clients * Attending client and project meetings * Carrying out regular site visits * Ensuring works are completed to specification and relevant manufacturer guidance Experience Required We are particularly interested in speaking with candidates who have proven experience managing fire door contracts within the Passive Fire Protection industry. You should have a strong working knowledge of: * Fire Door Installation * Fire Door Remedial Works * Fire Door Compliance * Project Mobilisation * Labour & Resource Management * Programming Works * Client Management * Quality Assurance Formal qualifications are beneficial; however, proven industry experience and the ability to successfully manage fire door contracts are the primary requirements for this position. The Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate will have developed their career within an established passive fire protection contractor and be accustomed to working within an environment where compliance, documentation, quality, process and accountability are taken seriously. This position would suit an experienced Fire Door Contracts Manager who can join the business and take ownership of their contracts from an early stage without requiring significant training or supervision.
