PYRA CONSTRUCTION Fire & Security Engineer Salary: £40,000 per annum Location: Cardiff and surrounding areas Coverage: South Wales, Gloucester and Bristol Employment: Permanent Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm The Opportunity PYRA Construction Solutions is recruiting on behalf of a fire and security company for an experienced Fire & Security Engineer to join its growing team. This is an active, hands-on engineering role suited to someone confident carrying out installations, servicing, maintenance and fault-finding across a range of fire and security systems. The successful candidate will work across commercial client sites throughout South Wales, Gloucester and Bristol. Offering a salary of £40,000 per annum and a permanent opportunity, this is an excellent position for an engineer looking for long-term stability and varied site-based work. Key Responsibilities * Install, service and maintain fire alarm systems. * Carry out installation and maintenance of CCTV systems. * Work on access control and intruder alarm systems. * Diagnose faults and carry out repairs efficiently. * Test systems and ensure they operate correctly. * Complete service reports, job sheets and site documentation. * Ensure all work complies with relevant standards and health and safety requirements. * Maintain professional relationships with clients and site teams. * Travel between sites across the designated region. Requirements * Previous experience working as a Fire & Security Engineer. * Practical experience with fire alarms and security systems. * Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills. * Ability to work independently and manage site-based tasks. * Full UK driving licence. * Reliable, professional and customer-focused approach. * Flexibility to travel across South Wales, Gloucester and Bristol. * Available to start immediately or at short notice.
