A global food-technology organisation is seeking a driven Sales Manager to grow its footprint across the UK & Ireland. This role suits someone with strong commercial instincts, a consultative sales style, and the confidence to challenge customers’ thinking to drive mutual business growth. What You’ll Be Doing
- Prospecting, developing and closing new business within the food ingredients sector
- Managing and expanding existing customer accounts
- Identifying customer needs and advising on technical product applications
- Using insight-led and consultative selling to introduce new ideas and solutions
- Building strong relationships across customer functions: R&D, procurement, marketing and senior leadership
- Leading customer projects and ensuring successful implementation
- Supporting on-site product application and monitoring future opportunities
- Representing the company at industry events, trade shows and scientific forums
- Gathering market intelligence and identifying new applications for existing products
- Managing distributors in the region and supporting selection of new partners
- Setting annual sales budgets and maintaining accurate CRM documentation
- Providing SMART forecasting to support operational planning
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Food Technology, Food Science, Ingredients or equivalent experience
- Native-level English
- Minimum 3 years’ B2B sales experience, ideally within the food industry
- Strong commercial acumen and ability to influence at all levels
- Proven track record in competitive sales environments
- Entrepreneurial mindset with excellent communication and networking skills
- Willingness to travel extensively (50%+)
- Strong planning, organisation and project-management abilities
