As part of this expansion, our client is seeking a Treasury Analyst to join its finance function and play a key role in supporting treasury operations, dealer financing programmes, banking relationships, and cash management activities.
The Opportunity
Reporting to the Treasury Manager, the Treasury Analyst will support the management and maintenance of vehicle financing structures, treasury transactions, banking activities, and dealer finance programmes. This role offers excellent exposure to corporate treasury, automotive finance, and banking relationships, making it an ideal opportunity for someone looking to develop their career within treasury and finance.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily wholesale (floorplan) and retail financing activities.
- Monitor and support dealer funding facilities to encourage business growth.
- Liaise with banking partners to secure and maintain competitive vehicle financing facilities.
- Assist with onboarding new banking partners and financing providers.
- Collaborate with banks and internal stakeholders to launch wholesale and retail finance initiatives, campaigns, retention programmes, and used vehicle financing solutions.
- Act as a key point of contact for dealers regarding financing and finance-related queries.
- Create and process electronic banking payments.
- Initiate treasury-related transactions, including fund transfers and foreign exchange (FX) deals.
- Support cash management and liquidity monitoring activities.
- Assist with the administration and maintenance of company bank accounts.
- Conduct financial health assessments of dealer and franchise partners.
- Analyse financial information and provide risk-based recommendations.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and regulatory developments within automotive finance.
- Support ad hoc treasury projects, reporting, and financial analysis.
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with banking partners.
- Support negotiations relating to financing facilities and banking services.
- Work collaboratively with banks to improve service quality and customer satisfaction.
About You
Essential Requirements
- Minimum 3 years' experience within treasury, automotive finance, banking, lending, or financial services.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related discipline.
- Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience conducting financial analysis and interpreting financial data.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong organisational skills with a high level of attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- A proactive approach and strong desire to develop within a treasury-focused career.
Desirable Skills
- Experience within an automotive OEM, captive finance provider, dealership finance operation, bank, or financial services organisation.
