About Our Client
Our client is a well-established, independent accident repair bodyshop in Halesowen with an excellent reputation for quality workmanship, customer service, and a commitment to delivering the highest standards in vehicle repair. Due to continued growth, they are looking for an experienced and driven Bodyshop Manager to lead their talented team and oversee the full operational performance of the site.
The Role
As Bodyshop Manager, you will take full responsibility for the daily running of the workshop, front office, and overall customer journey. You will ensure that repairs are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standard, while driving productivity and maintaining a positive working environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the bodyshop team including technicians, paint staff, estimators, and admin support
- Oversee the full repair process from estimate to completion
- Ensure all work is completed to manufacturer, insurer, and industry standards
- Monitor workflow, productivity, and quality control
- Maintain strong relationships with customers, insurers, suppliers, and partners
- Manage parts ordering, stock control, and cost efficiency
- Ensure the bodyshop meets compliance, health & safety, and audit requirements
- Lead, motivate, and develop the team to deliver excellent results
- Handle reporting, KPI management, and performance improvement initiatives
About You
We are looking for a motivated and hands-on leader with strong industry knowledge and excellent communication skills.
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience in bodyshop management within accident repair
- Strong technical understanding of bodywork, paint, and repair processes
- Excellent people management and leadership skills
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
- Confident in using bodyshop systems and estimating software (e.g., Audatex)
- Customer-focused with a professional and approachable manner
