The Role = Reporting to senior management, you will take responsibility for delivering accurate financial information, maintaining strong financial controls, and supporting operational performance across the dealers
Key Responsibilities
Preparation of monthly management accounts
- Balance sheet reconciliations*
- Budget preparation, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Monitoring cash flow and working capital
- VAT returns and statutory reporting requirements
- Sales, stock, and profitability analysis
- Supporting departmental managers with financial reporting and decision-making
- Ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting standards
- Liaising with external auditors and professional advisors
- Identifying opportunities to improve financial processes and controls
About
We are looking for a motivated and detail-focused individual who has experience working within motor retail or a fast-paced commercial environment
- Qualified, part-qualified, or qualified by experience accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent
- Previous experience in a finance or accounting role with Automotive
- Strong management accounting and analytical skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational ability
- Advanced Excel and financial systems knowledge
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the business
- Previous experience within the motor retail or automotive sector
- Experience with dealer management systems
- Understanding of vehicle stock accounting and manufacturer reporting
