As a VDA, you will play a vital role in assessing vehicle damage, producing accurate repair estimates, and ensuring work progresses smoothly through the bodyshop. Key Responsibilities- Inspect damaged vehicles and assess the full scope of repair requirements
- Produce accurate repair estimates using Audatex (certification essential)
- Liaise with customers, insurers, engineers, and internal teams to agree repair methods and costs
- Identify safe, compliant, and cost‑effective repair solutions
- Maintain accurate job files, documentation, and system records
- Support workflow planning by advising on repair times, parts, and potential delays
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards
- Keep up to date with modern vehicle construction, repair techniques, and industry best practices
- Audatex Certification – essential
- IMI Accreditation (ATA VDA or equivalent) – preferred
- Strong knowledge of modern vehicle repair methods and materials
- Excellent analytical, organisational, and problem‑solving skills
- Confident communicator able to explain technical information clearly
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Competent IT skills, including estimating software and bodyshop management systems
- Experience working in an accident repair centre or bodyshop
