Salary:£45,000–£60,000 per year (dependent on experience) + bonus

Hours:Full-time, 40 hours per week

Schedule:Monday–Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm (1 hour unpaid lunch)

A well‑established bodyshop is seeking an experiencedVehicle Damage Assessor (VDA)to join the team. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in a similar role and ideally hold a valid ATA VDA qualification.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately inspect and assess damaged vehicles.
  • Prepare detailed estimates and safe repair methods using computerised systems such asAudatexandThatcham Escribe.
  • Work confidently with bodyshop management systems.
  • Negotiate repair costs and supplementary work with customers and engineers.
  • Keep customers updated throughout the repair process.
  • Produce workshop job schedules and regularly liaise with workshop staff.
  • Communicate effectively with parts suppliers to ensure timely and accurate parts ordering.
  • Maintain excellent communication skills, especially when negotiating remote authorisations.
  • Demonstrate a high level of personal and professional integrity.
