Pybus Recruitment is delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a successful and well-established franchised car dealership in Hartlepool for an experienced Service Manager.
This is an excellent opportunity for a driven automotive leader looking to take ownership of a busy aftersales department, leading a team of 7 Technicians and 3 Service Advisors while delivering exceptional customer satisfaction, operational performance, and profitability.
The Role
As Service Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the service department, ensuring outstanding service delivery, efficient workshop utilisation, and strong financial performance.
You will lead, motivate, and develop your team to achieve departmental targets while maintaining the highest standards of customer care and manufacturer compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and lead a team of 7 Technicians and 3 Service Advisors
- Drive departmental profitability and achieve aftersales KPIs
- Maximise workshop efficiency, productivity, and labour sales
- Ensure exceptional levels of customer satisfaction and retention
- Monitor and improve service department performance metrics
- Support recruitment, training, and development of team members
- Maintain manufacturer standards and compliance requirements
- Handle customer escalations professionally and efficiently
- Work closely with senior management to deliver business objectives
About You
We're looking for an experienced automotive professional who can demonstrate strong leadership skills and a proven track record within an aftersales environment.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Service Manager, Aftersales Manager, or Senior Service Manager within a franchised dealership
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Commercially focused with a track record of delivering results
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Experience managing workshop productivity and service KPIs
- Ability to motivate and develop high-performing teams
- Full UK driving licence
