Overview
As a Night Fitter / HGV Maintenance Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the reliability, safety, and availability of a busy fleet of Heavy Goods Vehicles (HGVs). Working a dedicated night shift, you’ll be responsible for both planned maintenance and reactive repairs, ensuring vehicles are fully operational and ready for use each day. This is a hands‑on, autonomous role where you’ll be trusted to manage your workload effectively with minimal supervision. Reporting to the Night Shift Foreman, you will contribute to the smooth running of the workshop while maintaining high standards at all times. From routine servicing and brake work through to more complex diagnostics, no two shifts will be the same. Bank holidays falling on your working days must be taken as holiday. For example, if Christmas falls on a Wednesday or Thursday, those days will be deducted from your entitlement.
