The Role
We are recruiting a Field Based Master Technician / Technical Support Specialist to support the dealer network across Scotland, the North East of England and Yorkshire, on behalf of a fast-growing international automotive manufacturer. You’ll provide advanced diagnostic support, manage complex technical cases, and act as a key technical link between dealers and the manufacturer’s engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Resolve complex vehicle issues via the manufacturer’s technical case system
- Provide on-site technical support to dealerships across your region
- Manage multiple technical cases and prioritise workload effectively
- Escalate unresolved issues and support engineering-led investigations
- Support Quality, Warranty and Customer Experience teams
- Deliver technical training, presentations and dealer seminars
- Contribute to technical bulletins, troubleshooting guides and training material
Requirements About You
- 5+ years’ experience in automotive diagnostics or technical support
- Master Technician or equivalent technical qualification
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic capability
- Experience with hybrid and EV technologies highly desirable
- Confident interpreting wiring diagrams and technical documentation
- Willing to travel regionally with occasional overnight stays
- Full UK driving licence
