Hours: 42 hours per week (Monday to Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm, Saturdays 8:00am to 2:00pm on a rota basis)
Our client, a well-established automotive retailer, is looking to recruit an experienced and enthusiastic Parts Advisor to join their successful team. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated individual to play a key role within a busy parts department, working alongside a professional and supportive team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering outstanding customer service, managing parts enquiries, and ensuring the efficient day-to-day operation of the department.
The Role
As a Parts Advisor, you will be responsible for supporting both retail and workshop customers, ensuring all parts requests and orders are handled efficiently and accurately. You will also carry out a range of administrative duties, maintain stock accuracy, and assist in delivering a smooth and effective parts operation.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Parts Manager with daily departmental duties
- Complete vehicle health checks for the workshop
- Maintain accurate stock control and ensure parts are correctly stored and located
- Receive and process orders efficiently
- Manage returns and maintain up-to-date records
- Handle customer enquiries via telephone and in person
- Deliver exceptional levels of customer service
- Process customer and workshop orders within agreed timescales
- Report and investigate stock discrepancies when required
About You
To be considered for this position, you will ideally have:
- Previous experience in a Parts Advisor or similar automotive parts role
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Good IT and administrative abilities
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- The ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- A proactive and professional approach to your work
