We are recruiting for a MOT Tester to join a fantastic workshop. While working alongside a team of highly experienced technicians, you will play a vital role, carrying out vehicle health checks using the latest technology, conducting vehicle services and carrying out any additional repairs. In this role, you will report to the Aftersales Manager, who will provide ongoing support to ensure you have the tools needed to succeed. Vehicle Technicians / Mechanics play a vital role within the Service team by delivering first-class customer service every time. If you’re a qualified Vehicle Technician or an experienced Mechanic, whether you work in a dealer group or independent garage, we want to hear from you!
Responsibilities:
- Carrying out pre-delivery inspections on new and used vehicles
- Carrying out checks in line with manufacturers’ guidelines
- Fitting any additional accessories requested by the customer
- Conducting vehicle health checks and reporting any further work required
- Checking vehicle lights, tyre pressure, mechanical and electrical components
- Completing minor repairs on new and used vehicles
- Conducting vehicle servicing and MOTs in line with manufacturer and customer requirements
- Road testing vehicles to ensure all faults are rectified
- Completing all relevant paperwork to a high standard
Qualifications:
- NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent experience
- Valid MOT Licence
- Full UK driving licence
- Self-motivated, team-oriented, and committed to maintaining high standards
