The Northampton fuel terminal is connected to the UK Oil Pipeline enabling deliveries of gasoline and distillate products from both the Thames in the south and Stanlow in the North West refineries, via a spur line.

The terminal has five operating loading bays, with facilities for loading gasoline, super unleaded, diesel, and interface.

The terminal has eight main storage tanks holding a total of 28,000 m³ of fuel products.

Ethanol is imported via road tanker and discharged into storage tanks for blending into gasoline fuel.

The Northampton terminal is a Lower Tier COMAH site and the site operates 24 hours a day 365 days a year.

The Opportunity

We are now recruiting for a Shift Operator.

The primary function of the role is to support the Shift Supervisory Team in the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of the terminal during shift hours.

This includes monitoring and controlling product movements, supervising the loading systems/process, conducting routine inspections, and responding to operational or safety issues.

The role requires strict adherence to health, safety, environmental, and regulatory standards, as well as effective communication with internal teams and external stakeholders (contractors and drivers) to ensure continuous and reliable terminal operations.

You’ll be supported with personalised on the job training, coaching, mentoring and twice‑yearly development and performance reviews to help maintain & develop your contributions and competence.
