The Fitting Team Leader is a predominantly customer-facing role, responsible for delivering exceptional custom fitting experiences while providing day-to-day leadership and technical support to the retail fitting team. Approximately 75% of working time will be dedicated to conducting customer fittings and supporting fitting activities, with the remaining 25% focused on team supervision and operational coordination.
The role is designed to maximise fitting capacity, improve customer appointment availability and support the continued expansion of mobile fitting outreach activities. Working closely with the DTC Sales Manager, the Fitting Team Leader will ensure high standards of customer service, fitting performance and day-to-day store operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Custom Fitting & Sales – Approximately 75%
- Personally conduct custom club fittings to PXG's technical and customer service standards.
- Deliver a premium, personalised fitting experience, ensuring customers receive appropriate product recommendations based on their individual requirements.
- Maintain expert knowledge of PXG's golf equipment, fitting technology, product specifications and performance characteristics.
- Maximise fitting bay utilisation by actively supporting customer appointments and responding to changes in fitting demand.
- Support mobile fitting outreach activities and store-led fitting events, providing flexibility to maintain customer appointment availability.
- Identify sales opportunities through effective product recommendations and customer engagement.
- Build strong customer relationships to encourage repeat business, referrals and long-term brand loyalty.
- Maintain fitting equipment and ensure all fitting activities are conducted safely and efficiently.
- Remain current with new product introductions, fitting methodologies and technical developments.
Team Leadership & Store Coordination – Approximately 25%
- Provide day-to-day supervision and technical guidance to Retail Store Fitters.
- Support the coordination of fitting schedules, team resources and daily store activities.
- Coach and develop team members on fitting techniques, product knowledge and customer service standards.
- Monitor fitting productivity and provide regular feedback to support individual and team performance.
- Ensure fitting bays, equipment and customer-facing areas are maintained to PXG standards.
- Support the implementation of visual merchandising and operational standards established by the business.
- Assist with the coordination and delivery of local events and fitting outreach activities.
- Identify operational issues and elevate matters requiring management decisions to the DTC Sales Manager.
- Support the DTC Sales Manager in maintaining high standards of service and operational efficiency.
- Perform other reasonable duties consistent with the position.
Skills, Experience & Qualifications
- Demonstrable experience conducting professional golf club fittings.
- Strong technical knowledge of golf equipment, club specifications and fitting methodologies.
- Ability to independently deliver high-quality custom fittings and product recommendations.
- Proven ability to deliver excellent customer service and achieve sales objectives.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to coach, guide and support colleagues.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to balance customer appointments with day-to-day team responsibilities.
- Flexibility to support store-led and mobile fitting activities.
- Previous experience in a team leader or supervisory position.
- Experience using PXG fitting systems and technology.
- Experience supporting retail store operations and coordinating fitting events.
Shifts:
5 out of 6 days Monday through Saturday.
Regular Saturday working.
Hours of work between 9am and 7pm.
Compensation:
- 33 days annual Leave - raising to 38 days with service.
