Why is this role key to our business? PXC's technology platforms are moving towards being increasingly cloud centric. To support this evolution, our Cloud Infrastructure Function ensures the appropriate governance and operational focus, working with the delivery functions ensuring that we are using both the public cloud and our internal cloud Infrastructure efficiently, securely and cost effectively. This is a critical role that will ensure that PXC evolve their technologies in line with the Technology Strategy and market practices, whilst maintaining cost effectiveness which is critical as a value provider.

How will I add value in this role?
- Responsible for the Cloud Infrastructure Function, ensuring the appropriate governance and approvals are in place to align architectural strategy/designs, costs and operational performance.
- Ensuring that cloud governance is embedded as part of the Software Delivery Lifecycle (SDLC).
- Responsible for maintaining the security, operational effectiveness and costs of our cloud platforms.
- Running continual service improvements ensuring we are operating optimally.
What do I need in order to deliver this role?
- Leads and develops a high performing team of Engineers and Cloud SMEs.
- Implement appropriate governance and guardrails to ensure ongoing success of the function.
- Build a reporting dashboard that monitors the delivery of ongoing operational performance metrics.
- Runs an education programme to ensure all key stakeholders are aware of new cloud processes and governance, including responsibilities and consequences to their function.
- Identifies critical stakeholders and ensures there is an ongoing communication and education plan to ensure the success and awareness of cloud framework, technologies and architecture.
- Translates comms/engagement strategies into specific activities and deliverables.
- Facilitates open communication and discussion between stakeholders, acting as a single point of contact by developing, maintaining and working to stakeholder engagement strategies and plans.
- Facilitates business decision-making processes.
- Captures and disseminates technical and business information.
- Maintaining a focus on the external environment to stay aligned to emerging technologies.
- Assesses and documents the impacts, threats and opportunities to the organisation.
- Inputs to the future Technology Strategy and technology roadmaps.
