About the Role
To be successful in achieving our vision, it’s imperative that we develop and establish strong relationships with new and current suppliers. The Contract Manager will lead on in-life management of our key Technology Outsourcing Suppliers as well as supporting sourcing activity.
You will support the negotiation & operationalising of commercial agreements, and responsible for overall contract management. You will interface with all stakeholders in your strategic, business function to understand requirements and pain points with existing vendors and will work with the Technology, Change & Operations function to establish key areas of focus aligned to the PXC Strategic Roadmap and drive meaningful change in the contractual arrangements with key suppliers.
Key Responsibilities
- Outsource Partner lead – be the category and contract lead both internally with stakeholders and externally with vendors. Lead, maintain and develop contractual relationships with all suppliers.
- Contract Management – Daily management of contractual obligations, including risk management, compliance & analysis. Responsible for contractual improvements and simplification, ensuring we have processes in place to manage the commitments within the contracts.
- Contract Analysis – Ability to review and simplify complex information and concepts and communicate internally (contractual and regulatory documentation).
- Stakeholder engagement – build positive and collaborative relationships with your stakeholder community to identify opportunities and requirements early. Socialising the mechanics and principles of the contracts across all the organization teams, driving contractual adoption and adherence.
- Financial Analysis – conduct a full and detailed third party spend analysis and budget review alongside the the relevant category finance business partner. Collaborate with the finance, accounting and data teams to take a data-led approach to articulate problem statements and interpret financial statements, and commercial KPIs.
- Negotiation – E2E ownership of any contractual changes required for in-life commercial changes. Support the management and negotiations of commercial terms (both the initial set-up and the ongoing monitoring, benchmarking, and evaluation of commercial offers).
- Communication – Provide weekly updates on contractual commits, risks, issues and escalations and provide thought leadership on key commercial initiatives.
- Deliver results – support and deliver the best commercial outcomes and contribute to PXC savings targets as well as negotiating the best contract terms possible
