Our Head Office is based in Stockton-on-Tees and is home to our administrative support teams, engineering & maintenance support team & energy services teams. The Offices are located on the river Tees with close access to walks, shops and restaurants.

The Opportunity

We are now recruiting for a Senior EC&I Engineer to join the Technical & Project Support Team (TPST). The TPST support our sites both remotely and in person, so the ability and willingness to travel is essential for this role. You’ll be supported with personalised on the job training, coaching, mentoring and twice-yearly development and performance reviews to help maintain & develop your contributions and competence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide Electrical, Instrument & Control support and engineering guidance to the maintenance and operations teams at stipulated sites.
  • Managing emergent work and longer-term planned Engineering & Maintenance issues, along with EC&I project execution.
  • Ensure robust roll outs of Functional Safety, Cyber Security, Explosive Atmosphere and Electrical Power Distribution Systems Lifecycle management and maintenance ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Lead and manage small projects from conceptual design through to completions.
  • Perform simple failure investigations on repeat equipment failures, developing change out strategies to maintain high plant availability.

Minimum Requirements

  • Degree qualified in relevant engineering discipline, or equivalent COMPEX Ex01-04
  • Experience successful contribution in a 24/7 industrial environment in which, COMAH experience is preferred.
  • Experience with developing, implementing and evaluating systems, upgrades, improvements and modifications.
  • Understanding of Management of Change processes.
  • Practical experience of Functional Safety, Cyber Security, DSEAR and Electrical Power Systems Management.
