The Opportunity
We are now recruiting for an Electrical Principal Engineering Authority. The Electrical Principal Engineering Authority (PEA) will ensure electrical engineering risks are managed, will ensure adherence to relevant good practices, standards and processes across all operations related to their discipline. You’ll be supported with personalised on the job training, coaching, mentoring and twice-yearly development and performance reviews to help maintain & develop your contributions and competence.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the company’s electrical and explosive atmospheres governance and assurance processes, being involved with the execution and consistent approach for the Compliance Assessment processes within the groups existing portfolio and future business.
- Support and lead on the integration of new assets into the portfolio as appropriate.
- Ensure that the Group Operating Standard and Safety, Health and Environment standards specified in the Company Operating System are adhered to by the site teams.
- Provide support and guidance to their electrical discipline counterparts across the group, to ensure engineering related risk to people, the environment, plant and the business is understood, managed systematically and effectively across px operations and projects.
- Monitor the health of the electrical discipline engineering capability across px and support the necessary resourcing and development of engineering staff, embedding the competency framework for professional staff.
- Lead a cross px discipline engineering network to ensure sharing of best practice and alignment across the discipline.
Minimum Requirements
- Degree qualified in a relevant engineering discipline, or equivalent.
- Professional Registration to CEng/IEng (Or actively working towards).
- Considerable work experience in regulated, high hazard industries (e.g. Oil & Gas exploration and production, oil refining, gas processing chemicals manufacturing or power generation).
- Broad experience across electrical and explosive atmosphere engineering fields.
- Experience of regulatory compliance and adherence to engineering standards.
- Experience in developing PSPI’s / KPI’s.
