Key Responsibilities
- Wholly accountable for the quality of Civil/Structural engineering output and on‑time delivery in accordance with project requirements.
- Ensure all Civil/Structural designs are code compliant, meet specification, safe in design and consider lifecycle requirements.
- Support Project Managers, Project Engineers and Bids with information and guidance.
- Work closely with other Department Heads in the business to ensure synergy.
- Promote Civil/Structural/equipment standardisation and re‑use.
- Line‑management responsibilities across multiple sites; responsible for departmental performance and setting objectives to meet business and individual goals.
- Develop Civil/Structural engineering tools and processes that ensure designs are robust and outputs in line with scope.
Minimum Requirements
- BEng (Hons) in Engineering (preferably Civil or Structural)
- Chartered Engineer (CEng, preferably ICE or IStructE)
- Strong experience in a Civil/Structural engineering field.
- Knowledge of the construction and process industries and applicable standards.
- Ability to use structural analytical software unaided (STAAD Pro or TEKLA Structures preferred).
- Ability to interpret Site Investigation reports and identify civil implications.
