The Opportunity
We are now recruiting for a Shift Team Leader. You’ll be supported with personalised on the job training, coaching, mentoring and twice-yearly development and performance reviews to help maintain & develop your contributions and competence.
Key Responsibilities
- Day to day operational responsibility for the safe and efficient operation of the Fuel Feed, Furnace, Boiler, Steam Turbine, Flue Gas Treatment, Continuous Emissions Monitoring System (CEMS), Ash Collection Systems and balance of plant including Water Treatment Plant.
- Perform the role of a Senior Authorised Person (SAP) in line with px Limited Safety Rules.
- Ensure that the plant is always operated within prescribed Health, Safety and Environmental constraints and guidelines.
- Detailed incident reporting and collation of data as soon as possible after any accident/incident.
- Carry out first line diagnosis and maintenance activities in conjunction with current procedures in order to preserve the highest levels of safety, environmental compliance, plant integrity and availability.

Qualifications and Experience
- NVQ L3 or time served apprenticeship in relevant discipline, or equivalent.
- Practical experience in an operations or maintenance role in a power generation, EFW, marine propulsion, petrochemical or process systems setting.
- Experience of operating plant via a DCS/SCADA interface.
- Knowledge of pressure systems, LV and HV electricity preferable.
- Proficient IT skills including word & excel for reporting duties.
- Understanding of Safe Systems of Work.
