We’re thrilled to have been awarded a 10-year Operations & Maintenance contract by WELP at the world’s first commercial scale plastic recycling plant and are now looking to form our amazing site team. Based in Teesside, you’ll be key in delivering excellence in safe, efficient operations and maintenance using HydroPRS™ technology to chemically recycle end-of-life plastic. Joining us as we commission and start up, your experience and contributions will see us achieve recycling of over 20,000 tonnes of waste plastic each year, with the scope for expansion as we grow.
The Production Technician will support the efficient running of the plant under the instruction of the Shift Team Leader and in line with business, client & legislative requirements, philosophy, strategy, actions, results & compliance during all running states. You’ll be supported with personalised on the job training, coaching, mentoring and twice-yearly development and performance reviews to help maintain & develop your contributions and competence.
Key Responsibilities- Support the production processes, systems, reporting mechanisms and contracts are in place for identifying & managing engineering risk, meeting the above requirements.
- Use the framework of disciplined maintenance as best practice.
- Provide appropriate support for all major site engineering and maintenance events including outage and plant shut down, unplanned and planned events and incidents.
- Provide leadership regarding investigations, processes, audits, procedural actions and communications.
- Work within assigned shift team within the Production Department ensuring they meet required standards in a safe, timely manner.
- Overall responsibility for supervision, development, welfare and Production capability & competency in discipline areas & in addressing technical requirements & standard implementation.
- Champion continuous engineering and maintenance fault diagnosis and improvements working alongside other site, business departments and partners on agreed actions.
- Support the maintenance of Operating Site asset register and clearly identify safety critical equipment.
- Effectively participate and contribute to relevant cross site working parties ensuring good practices are shared throughout the department and site.
- Deputise for other team members providing on call/out of hours/emergency call out support.
- Contribute towards reviewing Operational Policies and procedures assigned to them.
- Under direction of the STL complete maintenance activities on site via the daily morning meeting ensuring they meet the needs of the plant.
The quality and timely delivery of the maintenance activities are of prime concern.
Qualifications- NVQ level 3 equivalent in engineering, or process discipline.
- Experience contributing to continuous process/production/operational environments. Fault diagnosis and problem solving.
- Experience in first line maintenance, plant routines and following procedures, systems & processes.
- Safe System of Work processes & procedures: permit to work, Incident control, Risk assessments method statements.
- Understanding & application of SHE requirements at work.
- Knowledge of Control Room Operations (Delta V).
