We’re thrilled to have been awarded a 10-year Operations & Maintenance contract by WELP at the world’s first commercial scale plastic recycling plant and are now looking to form our amazing site team. Based in Teesside, you’ll be key in delivering excellence in safe, efficient operations and maintenance using HydroPRS™ technology to chemically recycle end-of-life plastic. Joining us as we commission and start up, your experience and contributions will see us achieve recycling of over 20,000 tonnes of waste plastic each year, with the scope for expansion as we grow.
The Production Technician will support the efficient running of the plant under the instruction of the Shift Team Leader and in line with business, client & legislative requirements, philosophy, strategy, actions, results & compliance during all running states. You’ll be supported with personalised on the job training, coaching, mentoring and twice-yearly development and performance reviews to help maintain & develop your contributions and competence.
Key Responsibilities- Cooperate with health and safety requirements, follow safe systems of work, use equipment correctly and report hazards, defects, incidents and unsafe conditions.
- Support the production processes, systems, and reporting mechanisms.
- Carry out daily routines and activities to support safe and efficient production.
- Provide appropriate support and make preparations for the availability of plant for maintenance tasks- including planned and unplanned shutdowns.
- Manage shift handovers and maintain accurate operational records and logs.
- Actively engage in investigations, processes, audits, procedural actions and communications.
- Work within assigned shift team within the Production Department ensuring they meet required standards in a safe, timely manner.
- Responsibility for developing competence for production capability in line with required training.
- Effectively participate and contribute to relevant working parties ensuring good practices are shared throughout the department and site.
- Provide flexibility for call out support in line with site manning requirements.
- Contribute towards reviewing Operational Policies and procedures assigned to them.
- Under direction of the STL complete non-routine activities including first line maintenance.
- NVQ level 3 equivalent in engineering, or process discipline.
- Experience contributing to continuous process/production/operational environments. Fault diagnosis and problem solving.
- Experience of monitoring, inspecting & controlling plant parameters.
- Experience in first line maintenance, plant routines and following procedures, systems & processes.
- Safe System of Work processes & procedures: permit to work, Incident control, Risk assessments method statements.
- Knowledge of Control Room Operations (Delta V).
