Overview
We are now recruiting for a DCS Engineer to complete a range of hands-on responsibilities to support the TeesREP site in ensuring safety and availability of all DCS, Functional Safety, and TOPi system historian plant systems.
Responsibilities
Ensure safety and availability of all Site DCS, FS and all other local control systems and be part of the functional safety management team. Own and manage the system historian for the plant, including statutory compliance and maintenance and delivery of plant and systems.
Take the lead in management of cyber security on all the IACS.
Support the central ICT team in management and development of the process control systems on site.
Coordinate and provide input into assigned and cross-functional improvement and change projects and initiatives, contributing and leading resolution of appropriate engineering plant problems.
Be the central information point for the TeesREP team and as required to other TeesREP departments on assigned areas.
Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
Complete assigned programming, systems configuration and take a lead role in alarm rationalisation and management in line with EEMUA 191.
Qualifications
HNC or equivalent electrical, control or instrumentation engineering discipline.
24/7 process, energy or manufacturing experience, in DCS Systems and functional safety to complete job role responsibilities.
Operations interface. Working with and to operational policies and procedure.
Best practice standards in DCS systems and functional safety.
A background working cross functionally delivering policies, initiatives and compliance. Engineering standards and codes: IEC 61508/61511 SHE systems, ensuring compliance, risk and improvement.
Knowledge of applicable DCS platforms and associated applications, as well as DCS software including Fail Safe Controller (FSC).
