This challenging and exciting opportunity requires a Topographical Surveyor with a good level of qualification, coupled with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role. Due to continued sustainable growth and the recent award of several long running framework contracts, our client now wishes to strengthen their operational team with the appointment of a Topographical Surveyor.
The main purpose of this position is to support the timely and successful delivery of projects in accordance with the contract programme, and without prejudice to the health and safety of employees, sub-contractors and the public, whilst also taking into full account all environmental considerations.
The Role & Responsibilities
- Verify the accuracy of survey data including measurements and calculations conducted on site
- Calculate heights, depths, relative positions, lines, and other characteristics of terrain to produce accurate volumetric information
- Prepare and process data, charts, plots, maps, records, and documents related to surveys
- Take measurements and survey data to determine positions and elevations
- Processing data from site surveys for modelling and client reports
- Carry out the surveys and as-builts using complex equipment (Trimble, Total Stations, GPS)
- Supporting various sites, teams and managers in the successful delivery of projects
- Literacy with industry related software (AutoCAD 3D or N4CE for example)
