This challenging and exciting opportunity requires an individual with a good technical background and demonstrable experience from within the piling, foundations and ground engineering sector. Applications are also invited from Site Engineers/Contracts Engineers from the piling sector wishing to progress their career in the design field. Home working is available for around 2 days a week, with the rest of the week in the office.

Due to continued expansion, an abundant pipeline of works, and the strategy to bring as many aspects of contracts in-house as possible to offer clients a holistic turnkey package, our client is now looking to appoint a Design Engineer. You will also have a professional approach and a keen eye for detail, along with excellent communication and IT skills.

  • Provide design solutions from work winning concept phase to practical completion of projects with the common goal to secure contracts and increase site net margin.
  • Deliver competitive and innovative design solutions.
  • Ensure design efficiency and buildability.
  • Provide technical and design support to all departments and be fully integrated to the estimating teams and operational teams to aid their performance.
  • Analyse the project input to reach an agreement and integrate this into a design solution.
  • Experience of various piled foundation techniques.
  • Ability to understand and interpret GI-SI data.
  • Good level of commercial awareness.
  • Work independently as well as part of a team to deliver more projects.
