Site Manager (Rail & Civils) This exciting opportunity requires a Site Manager with a strong technical background and demonstrable experience of site and project management delivery within the rail and civil engineering industry. Our client is experiencing continued growth and various long-term framework contract awards within the rail and civils sector, which covers disciplines such as groundworks, drainage and earthworks. The Role * Management of assigned sites with a hands-on approach to the day-to-day activities * Ensuring that all goals are either achieved or bettered with an emphasis upon safe and timely contract delivery, client collaboration and site team engagement * Efficiently manage all construction, staff, HSEQ and planning site activities * Act as a focal point for the client, steering and guiding contracts forward positively * Working with the commercial team to support effective financial management * Lead review meetings with the staff in developing a proactive focus upon quality, overheads, manpower, programming, organisation and delivery aspects. * Assist in further developing the supply chain and sub-contractor partnering process, where necessary, to improve upon existing terms if possible. * Ensure a high level of teamwork and cohesion between all levels of site staff. * Attend regular meetings with staff to discuss progress as well as providing site reports and liaise with other managers in regard to operating policy. The Person * Proven experience in site or project management from the rail and civils sectors * Assisted in the delivery of sites with a diplomatic and pragmatic approach * Operate a hands-on attitude to clients, sub-contractors and team management. * Possess first-hand exposure to various singular or multiple rail and civils contracts * Able to demonstrate a lead from the front approach to successful site delivery * Previous experience of working in a client focused contracting environment. * Possess an excellent understanding of the end-to-end site management process * Possesses a full driving licence, CSCS, SMSTS and PTS (essential) Our Client Our client was established in 2009 and continues to grow consistently year on year due to offering specialist expertise within numerous areas of the rail, civil engineering, earthworks, drainage and groundworks sectors.
