Fitter Job Requirements This position requires an individual with a demonstrable track record of providing practical, hands-on expertise to a wide range of heavy construction plant, and / or large construction machinery. A highly rewarding package is on offer to attract the best candidate, this will include a generous basic salary, bonuses, overtime payments, accommodation allowances, a fully financed commercial vehicle and an extensive additional benefits package. The Role Due to continued growth and a number of recent successful contract awards our client is now seeking to appoint a Fitter required to work on a wide variety of heavy construction plant, crawler cranes, drilling or piling rigs and various other machinery and equipment. You will be carrying out repairs, servicing and planned / reactive / preventative maintenance on a wide range of large construction machinery and heavy plant. Candidates with experience of working on any type of construction plant, equipment or machinery are encouraged to apply for this challenging and exciting opportunity. You will also be required to carry out the servicing, inspection and repair of a fleet of company owned plant and equipment that must be kept in a “fit for purpose” state at all times. You will be working on hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical and electrical systems, as such, a good understanding and practical experience in these areas is required. The position will also involve producing, keeping and maintaining reports, servicing records and other paperwork with a high degree of accuracy and efficiency. To carry out this role successfully you will also require a full UK driving licence.
