This is a senior, high-impact role operating at the heart of the team, suited to an engineer who thrives under pressure, leads with clarity, and is motivated by extracting every detail of performance from car and driver.

This role will act as the lead engineer responsible for all technical and operational aspects of one race car across tests, simulator sessions, and race events, ensuring legality and compliance with sporting and technical regulations. Direct run plans and engineering execution across practice, qualifying, and race sessions. Make timely, data-driven decisions during events to maximise performance through close collaboration with Manufacturer, Performance, Simulation, Systems, Strategy, and Tyre Engineers. Lead post-event analysis and reporting, driving continuous improvement in performance and operations.

Key skillset requirements:

  • Strong driver management skills, with the ability to build trust and deliver clear, calm and confidence-inspiring communication while under high-pressure, time critical environments.
  • Excellent engineering ability with a strong, demonstrable understanding of vehicle dynamics and performance optimisation along with robust planning, organisational, and reporting skills.
  • Proficient with modern data analysis tools (e.g. ATLAS) and simulation environments.

Desired skills:

  • Proactive, self-motivated, and committed to delivering team-wide performance gains.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a dynamic, multicultural environment.
  • Degree in Mechanical, Automotive, Electrical or Motorsport Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience in Formula E or strong understanding of electric powertrain systems and energy management.
  • Programming experience (Python, MATLAB, VBA or similar) for analysis and tool development.
