We are currently seeking a TRAM Electrical Engineer to support a major nuclear engineering programme based in Warrington. This role offers a hybrid working arrangement with three days per week in the office and the remainder working remotely. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to complex nuclear engineering projects where reliability, maintainability and availability are critical to safe and compliant operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver and support Testability, Reliability, Availability and Maintainability (TRAM) engineering activities across project lifecycles within a nuclear environment
  • Conduct and review Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA)
  • Perform Reliability and Availability calculations to support system performance requirements
  • Carry out MTTR (Mean Time To Repair) and MTBF (Mean Time Between Failure) analysis
  • Support the development and updating of TRAM strategies in line with nuclear project requirements
  • Manage Availability, Reliability & Maintainability (AR&M) scopes of work and associated documentation
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to ensure system performance, safety and maintainability targets are achieved

Technical Experience Required:

  • FMEA and reliability engineering methodologies
  • Reliability and availability modelling and calculations
  • MTTR and MTBF analysis
  • Experience working with remotely operated lifting equipment, conveyors, bogies and doors
  • Updating and implementing TRAM strategies
  • Managing AR&M scopes of work in accordance with:
    • Def Stan 00-40
    • Def Stan 00-42
    • or equivalent British Standards

About You:

  • Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline (or equivalent experience)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience working in regulated or safety-critical environments, ideally within the nuclear sector
  • Familiarity with the requirements and expectations associated with nuclear engineering projects
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams
