We are recruiting for Safety Case Engineers of all seniorities to support a major defence client on a long term permanent or contract 12 months inside IR35 on a hybrid basis in one of our base offices Warrington, Bristol, Newbury or Leicester. The client is looking for an experienced safety engineer who applies a substantial depth and breadth of Safety Engineering expertise to design, develop and deliver project Safety Management Systems through the whole product lifecycle across a range of highly complex products and engineering systems, providing technical leadership and guidance to all stakeholders and other functions on matters relating to Product Safety Engineering.
Responsibilities:
- Undertaking typical safety case tasks, such as hazard identification and analysis (design basis and probabilistic safety assessment), optioneering, ALARP assessment, requirements specification, hazard management strategies etc.
- Contributing to and scribing of group studies such as HAZOP and optioneering.
- Advising on safety case approach, strategy, methodology and the scheduling of deliverables, as well as producing templates.
- Leading group studies such as HAZOP and optioneering.
- Technical checking of safety case deliverables and supporting technical inputs to ensure quality, consistency and completeness.
