We are recruiting for a Principal Planning professional to support a major nuclear project. This role draws upon specialised depth and breadth of expertise to undertake complex assignments, and provides technical leadership and direction to junior roles. The client is offering hybrid working with a base office in Warrington. This position will be on a permanent basis and the client is offering a brilliant package with enhanced benefits.

Experience:

  • Essential experience of the Principal Planner
  • Proven experience planning large, complex projects or programmes
  • Experience working in highly regulated environments such as nuclear, energy, defence, infrastructure or rail
  • Strong, hands-on expertise using Primavera P6
  • Experience leading, coordinating or mentoring planning teams
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach to multi-discipline programme delivery

Qualifications for the Principal Planner:

  • Degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline (desirable)
  • Recognised project management qualification such as APM, or equivalent demonstrable experience
  • An engineering or scientific HNC (or equivalent)
  • You will have 5 years+ project planning experience
  • Nuclear / Defence Experience
  • Knowledge and experience of using process & planning tools such as Primavera P6
  • Must be able to obtain security clearance
  • You will be well versed in the use of computer packages such as Word, Excel, Microsoft Project and PowerPoint
