PWHytek Ltd are recruiting for a Test & Trials Manager to join the Systems Engineering team to support a major nuclear project on a 12-18 month contract + extensions inside IR35. The client is ideally looking for the engineer to start asap and as such they require the team to hold live SC or DV Clearances or be able to obtain this. The client is offering a hybrid work pattern in one of their offices (Warrington, Newbury or Bristol). There may be intermittent visits to other client sites although these won’t be regular and will be expensed by the client.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure application of the highest standards for health, safety, and environment (including ethics and behaviours) within the Test & Trials workstream.
Skills:
- Ideally, possess a BSc or equivalent qualification in Engineering or Science.
- Ideally understand how to demonstrate performance of mechanical, electrical, and software systems.
- Ability to author, manage and continuously improve company management processes relating to trials management.
- Have a minimum of 3-5 years of experience managing individual trials programmes.
- Excellent communication, time management, and problem-solving abilities.
- Self-driven with the ability to work effectively both independently and within a team.
- Appreciation of product lifecycles.
- Appreciation of engineering review and analysis.
- Understanding of Architecting, Simulation, and Modelling.
- Problem solving skills (Root Cause Analysis).
- Working knowledge of Systems Engineering methods (IEC15288 & the INCOSE Handbook).
- Excellent interpersonal skills, able to engage effectively with all audiences/stakeholders at all levels in the organisation.
- Proficient PC skills.
