We are currently seeking a Nuclear Specialist with strong experience in uranium enrichment to support a major programme within the UK nuclear sector. This role will be based in either Bristol or Gloucester and offers the opportunity to contribute to technically complex work within the nuclear fuel cycle. We are particularly interested in individuals who have experience working with EDF or other major nuclear operators, alongside strong technical knowledge of uranium enrichment processes and nuclear safety.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide specialist expertise across uranium enrichment and the nuclear fuel cycle
  • Support the development, authoring and review of Nuclear Safety Cases
  • Contribute to safety assessments and safety justification activities
  • Work closely with engineering and safety teams to ensure compliance with nuclear regulatory requirements
  • Engage with UK or international nuclear regulators as part of safety case and licensing activities

Experience Required

  • Uranium enrichment or nuclear fuel cycle technologies (e.g. gas centrifuge)
  • Authoring or leading Nuclear Safety Cases
  • Safety assessments such as PSA, PSR, ALARP and HAZOP
  • Experience working with nuclear operators such as EDF or similar organisations
  • Engagement with nuclear regulators within the UK or internationally

About You

  • Strong background within the nuclear industry, ideally with exposure to fuel cycle or enrichment programmes
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams in a highly regulated environment
