An opportunity has become available for a Shift Mechanical Fitter at our Inverness facility in Inverness, Highland region. This is a full time permanent position that will require shift work, with an excellent salary & benefits package. This position will report to the Mechanical Supervisor and Shift Manager.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
- Repair of mechanical breakdowns throughout the plant
- Carry out preventative maintenance on mechanical equipment as required
- Identify and report any signs of equipment failure
- Ensure all documentation is kept up to date
- Install and commission equipment and services as requested
- Adopt and maintain good engineering and housekeeping procedures in all work areas
- Work carried out in accordance with permit to work code of practice
- Assist with other engineering work when and where required as directed by Mechanical supervisor
Essential Requirements
- Minimum City & Guilds/ONC level in a mechanical discipline
- Full 4-year apprenticeship completed
- Industrial maintenance experience preferred
- A strong health and safety awareness and the ability to work unsupervised
