Quantity Surveyor required for our engineering client based in Lancashire. This is a permanent role where you will have experience of working with NEC3 & NEC4 contracts. Salary is negotiable depending on experience plus benefits.
Responsibilities:
- Involved in commercial success for projects for contract management and implementation of NEC3 | NEC4 framework contracts
- Manage commercially from concept through to delivery for engineering projects and liaise with internal teams to mitigate contractual risks and resolve any disputes
- Ensuring compliance, contract provisions, project delivery requirements are all in place
- To undertake and lead on preparation, assessments, valuation, and negotiation of variations, claims, and compensation required
- Monitoring performance preparing and delivering reports for Senior Management
- Promote continuous improvement in commercial processes, especially around NEC and similar contract framework administration
- Provide coaching and mentorship where beneficial within the team and staff development plans
Skills and Experience required for the Quantity Surveyor role:
- Experience in a Quantity Surveyor role in engineering/infrastructure/construction/Civil markets or similar
- Degree or Equivalent in a relevant subject – eg Quantity Surveying, Finance, Commercial Management, Construction Management
- Candidates with relevant experience without a degree qualification will be considered where there is 5 years + quantity surveying experience in relevant industries
