Role Overview
As a Goods in Warehouse Operative, you’ll play an essential part in our inbound operation ensuring deliveries are unloaded, checked, and processed accurately, safely, and efficiently. - Undertake any rework where needed, ensuring it is finished on time and in line with warehouse standards.
- Check, receive, and validate inbound loads against delivery paperwork / GRNs, confirming quantities, condition, batch/lot codes, and expiry dates.
- Conduct quality inspections on all incoming goods, recording or photographing any damages in line with site procedures and escalating issues where required.
- Liaise with delivery drivers on arrival and accurately sign for deliveries, ensuring paperwork is completed correctly.
- Complete the inbound compliance checklist for each delivery and ensure system updates are made in real-time.
- Segregate and quarantine any non-conforming stock, following escalation and supervisor reporting procedures.
- Plan and coordinate daily put-away activity in collaboration with the Goods In Team Leader/Supervisor.
- Support construction of the daily inbound handover summary email to mid-shift (ideally before 3pm).
- Keep the Goods In zone clean, safe, and clear of obstructions.
- Overlap with — and communicate updates to — the mid-shift warehouse team during shift cross-over.

- Comfortable using WMS platforms (system training will be provided).
- A proactive team player with strong communication skills.
- Ability to work safely and efficiently at pace.
- Holds both of the following valid licences (required): Powered Pallet Truck (PPT) Operator Licence, Counterbalance Forklift Operator Licence, Very Narrow Aisle forklift training or licence.
