Key Responsibilities

  • Produce and maintain high-quality engineering documentation, including quality plans and technical specifications
  • Manage technical queries in line with approved processes and procedures
  • Support contractor selection, tender evaluation and contract placement
  • Review contractor designs, drawings and technical submissions
  • Undertake feasibility studies, site surveys and technical appraisals
  • Prepare Engineering Change documentation and manage impacted records
  • Lead or support commissioning activities and testing where required
  • Liaise closely with designers, station engineers and stakeholders
  • Support Project and Construction Managers to deliver work safely and effectively

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Mandatory – must have worked on a generating power station.
  • Chartered Engineer status or HND (or equivalent experience)
  • Proven experience using CADMECH – essential
  • SMSTS qualification
  • Understanding of safety, environmental and quality compliance
  • Experience working under CDM regulations
  • Electrical power systems design or installation experience preferred
  • Strong communication, organisation and stakeholder skills
  • Experience in highly regulated environments
