Shape and deliver critical piping designs for high-profile offshore oil and gas projects. This is an exciting opportunity for a Piping Designer to take responsibility for 3D modelling, drawings, and technical deliverables across major offshore developments. You will work closely with engineers, CAD technicians, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure designs are accurate, constructible, and compliant with industry and client standards. If you enjoy technical challenges, producing high-quality piping designs, and collaborating across offshore and onshore teams, this role offers career growth, technical exposure, and involvement in impactful oil and gas projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce and maintain piping deliverables, including 2D/3D drawings, specifications, BOMs, datasheets, and sketches
  • Check engineers’ and suppliers’ work for accuracy, compliance, and constructability
  • Perform 3D modelling of piping systems and supports in accordance with industry standards
  • Prepare materials take-offs, bill of materials, and construction work packs
  • Interpret project specifications, customer requirements, and interface details into deliverables
  • Participate in design reviews, clash detection, and multidisciplinary coordination
  • Support pricing, detailed engineering, and technical queries
  • Ensure all work complies with BS, EN, API, ASME, ANSI standards and company QA processes
  • Conduct site surveys onshore and offshore, producing accurate reports
  • Liaise with suppliers, vendors, and subcontractors as required

Qualifications & Requirements

  • HND or equivalent in Piping, Mechanical, or relevant Engineering discipline
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in offshore oil and gas or petrochemical piping design
  • Experience in topsides piping design for greenfield and brownfield projects
  • Proven client-facing experience and ability to hold technical meetings
  • Strong knowledge of ASME B31.3, B31.4, B31.8 codes
  • Proficient in 3D and 2D design software, including Aveva E3D and AutoCAD, essential.
  • Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills
  • Professional, approachable, and collaborative with onshore and offshore teams
  • Highly organised, detail-focused, and able to work independently under pressure
