This is a standout opportunity for an experienced Lead Structural Engineer to take ownership of complex offshore projects, driving technical excellence from concept through to installation and life extension. You will play a pivotal role influencing design decisions, leading engineering teams, and engaging directly with key stakeholders. Key Responsibilities
- Lead structural engineering delivery across offshore platform projects
- Act as technical authority, approving calculations, analyses, and designs
- Manage planning, resourcing, and execution of engineering scopes
- Perform and review advanced structural analyses (fatigue, seismic, dynamic, installation)
- Ensure compliance with API, DNV, ISO, and AWS standards
- Lead design reviews, risk assessments, and technical governance activities
- Coordinate multi-discipline interfaces and subcontract engineering scopes
- Engage with clients, IVBs, and classification bodies
- Support fabrication, loadout, transportation, and installation phases
- Mentor and develop junior engineers within project teams
Qualifications & Requirements
- Degree in Structural, Civil, Mechanical or related discipline
- Chartered Engineer status or working towards chartership preferred
- Significant offshore oil & gas or energy sector experience
- Strong background in offshore structures (jackets, topsides, subsea)
- Proven leadership experience managing engineering teams
- Expertise in SACS (essential) and other FEA tools (desirable)
- Strong knowledge of industry design codes and standards
- Experience in client-facing technical roles
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to work independently in fast-paced project environments
