We are currently recruiting experienced Electrical Wiremen to join a major onshore HVDC converter station project based near Swaffham, Norfolk.
This is an excellent opportunity to work on a nationally significant energy infrastructure project, carrying out electrical installation and wiring activities within a modern HVDC substation environment.
The Role As an Electrical Wireman, you will be responsible for the installation, wiring and termination of electrical systems and equipment, ensuring all work is completed safely, accurately and in accordance with project specifications and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities Installation and wiring of electrical equipment within the HVDC converter station.
Installation of control, protection and marshalling panels.
Cable installation, glanding and termination of HV, control and instrumentation cables.
Installation of cable tray, ladder rack and containment systems.
Reading and interpreting electrical drawings, wiring diagrams and schematics.
Carrying out point-to-point wiring and continuity checks.
Supporting pre-commissioning and testing activities.
Working to strict health, safety and quality standards at all times.
Essential Requirements Proven experience as an Electrical Wireman on HVDC, HV, transmission or substation projects.
Strong background in electrical installation, cable termination and panel wiring.
